The attacking midfielder enquired after Brundle had spoken to Mount’s Blues teammate Ben Chilwell, “What’s he saying?”
The journalist then retorted, “He says you’re going to Manchester United.”
The 24-year-old Mount refused to be drawn, laughing as he said, “I’m here to just enjoy the race today.
Amazing day, I’m eager to see it.
Reece James spoke about Mount’s potential Stamford Bridge exit earlier in Sky’s coverage after his friend fled from the cameras and left Ben Chilwell to speak on his behalf.
The academy graduate is reportedly in negotiations with Man United and looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
If the Red Devils want to sign Mount, they will have to fork over £70 million plus add-ons.
Instead of selling the England star for less than their current asking price, Chelsea is willing to let his contract expire in its final year.

After United and Mount reached a personal agreement, there have been discussions between the two clubs.
However, despite interest from clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and others, Chelsea is standing firm.
Midfielder Mount is currently at the Spanish Grand Prix with his teammates James, 23, and Ben Chilwell while rumors about his future swirl.
The former Derby County loanee was approached by Sky Sports cameras after they spotted the celebrities.
Presenter Brundle tried to get Mount to stay, but he quickly left. The Sky man was left awkwardly laughing before Chilwell said, “Look, he’s running away.”
Full-back James was available for conversation, and in response to a query about Mount’s transfer, he said: “Of course, if he goes, everyone will be sad to see him go.”
After a disastrous season, Mauricio Pochettino was hired this week as Chelsea’s new manager with the responsibility of turning the team around.
James responded to a question about the new manager by saying, “Everyone is saying that he’s a great manager, and hopefully next season we find our feet early and we are a good, strong side.”
This week, Chelsea supporters begged Chilwell to convince Mount to make a dramatic U-turn and remain at the club.
Off the coast of Spain, the two have been on vacation together as they reflect on a disastrous season at Stamford Bridge.
Additionally, after the left-back shared photos of the two having fun, Chilwell received a barrage of messages from hundreds of Blues fans pleading with him to talk sense into his teammate.
