Lewis Hamilton disappoints at his forte, Silverstone while Verstappen continues to dominate.
The ancient Silverstone racetrack is the venue for the 10th race of the 2023 F1 racing season. The tournament’s defending champion, Max Verstappen took the lead at the start. However, the Dutch driver let Lando Norris of the McLaren racing team pass right in the first meters.
Verstappen was overtaken by Norris right after the start, but still bravely passed
However, Max Verstappen only took 5 laps to reclaim the No. 1 position with a class overtaking phase. Since then, the Dutch driver has had almost no problems during the following 28 laps.
Round 33, a driver in the race had a problem and the convoy protection car (yellow light car) appeared. Lewis Hamilton made good use of this time to rise to 3rd place of the race and had a fierce dispute with Norris for about 5 laps later. After two unsuccessful attempts to overtake his opponent, Hamilton accepted third place.
The last lap, Max Verstappen did not face any difficulty to finish first with a record of 1 hour 25 minutes 16 seconds 938/1000 after 52 laps. Lando Norris took second place while Lewis Hamilton took only third place.
This is the 8th stage victory of the Dutch driver’s season and Max Verstappen has never been outside the Top 3 drivers after 10 races. Currently, this driver has got 255 points and left the second person, Sergio Perez, 99 points. Regarding the rankings of racing teams, Red Bull also monopolizes the first place with 411 points, more than 200 points more than the second ranked team, Mercedes
