Rick Ross is still buying a lot of real estate.
With the recent acquisition of a $37 million Miami house, the 47-year-old rapper expanded his burgeoning portfolio with yet another luxurious asset. Situated off Biscayne Bay, the beachfront property is part of the exclusive guard-gated community of Star Island, which is home to many A-list celebrities.
According to his real estate agent, Kimberly Knausz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, who worked with Ross’s sister Tawanda Roberts, a real estate agent with Florida Realty of Miami, to broker the deal, the “Rich Is Gangsta” hitmaker’s new residence is situated on a 40,000-square-foot lot offering 100 feet of waterfront. The 12,374 square foot house has a chef’s kitchen, six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, and a main suite with a bay view and two walk-in closets. A heated pool, a summer kitchen, a 40-foot dock, and direct access to the bay and ocean are among the outside features of the property.
He was enthralled with the big entryway right away as it had a lengthy driveway that stretched into the home and exuded genuine wealth, Knausz tells PEOPLE. “He intends to improve it to reflect his personal style, and the architecture also played a role because it goes well beyond the typical modern home.”
The singer-songwriter is also the owner of a 109-room, 45,000-square-foot house near Fayetteville, Georgia, that he has named “The Promise Land.” According to NBC News, the 235-acre mansion was famously utilized as a stand-in for Prince Akeem Joffer’s (Eddie Murphy) castle in the 2021 movie Coming 2 America.
