For the first time in her career, her two most recent albums have placed her at the top of the Billboard charts.
And Selena Gomez hasn’t stopped making audacious claims yet.
The 27-year-old celebrity seemed ready to take some quick selfies as she ventured out in LA on Wednesday wearing a striking neon outfit. The former Disney princess sported bright lime biker shorts with an oversized highlighter yellow sweater.
Her brunette hair was pulled back into a ponytail and accessorized with a purple scrunchie to create a throwback style. Her makeup, which included a dark red lip and lined eyes, seemed out of place with her colorful dress. Her sighting was made possible by an ingenious mash-up by Andy Wu, who combined her new song Lose You to Love Me with the 2015 smash Sorry by her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The song has over one million views on YouTube.
The skillful remix of the ex-couples’ songs by the Los Angeles-based music producer won over admirers with the way his words melded eerily with hers, almost like a duet.
March 2018 marked the official end of Gomez’s nine-year, on-again, off-again relationship with the 25-year-old Grammy winner. This was just three months before he sped up his romance with now-wife Hailey Baldwin.
A bunch of pals joined her, one of them holding a disposable camera for an unplanned picture session.
Selena even took on the role of photographer, ducking down to take a quick picture of her buddy outside Gelson’s Market. The “Texican” beauty’s most recent single, “Lose You to Love Me,” is presently number one on Billboard’s Streaming Songs list and peaked at No. 4 on the inaugural Billboard Hot 100.
Nielsen Music reports that in its first full tracking week of activity, the single by I Can’t Get Enough singer had 38.4 million streams.
“My very first #1!” “I love this song so much,” said Selena, who has 301.9 million social media followers.
