Alfa Nero superyacht likened living aboard the motionless $120 million palatial vessel to residing in a monastery
We previously reported that the crew of the Russian billionaire’s Alfa Nero superyacht was having a great time aboard the abandoned $120 million vessel. They spent their days playing Call of Duty and swimming in the infinity pool. Doesn’t it sound idyllic? Too much of a good thing, though, can be harmful. The Oceanco vessel’s skipper attests to this, comparing his time on the stranded vessel like living in a monastery. But what could possible be wrong aboard an opulent luxury vessel? Since February 2022, the Alfa Nero Yacht has been docked in Falmouth Harbor, Antigua. The government subsequently confiscated it, and it now costs approximately $30,000 each week to maintain the pleasure vessel.

Onboard the Alfa Nero, there is a spa. Life on this ship that travels nowhere might be boring, according to Charterworld. Lunch is always served at noon, and supper is served at 6 p.m., both cooked by a British chef. The skipper routinely follows weather forecasts, especially those pertaining to storms, which he thinks may cause harm to the vessel.

This magnificent motoryacht has five lavish bedrooms, a Jacuzzi, a cutting-edge gym, and an infinity pool that hydraulically converts into a helipad. The upper deck’s owner’s suite includes a dedicated office, dressing room, bathroom with a Jacuzzi and steam shower, and a master bedroom.

The skipper and his crew are so concerned that they avoid wearing the red polo shirt with the Alfa Nero badge at the harbor or in St. John’s, the nation’s capital, on purpose. They intend to conceal their affiliation from possible Russian operatives.
Falmouth’s harbor. Facebook users / @Falmouth HarbourLocals have also chimed in. Rumors circulating at Antigua’s Skullduggery bar and restaurant adjacent to the waterfront claim that the island’s move to face a Putin ally may prevent wealthy Russian visitors who visit the island during the winter. Many people believe that if the government fails to sell the $120 million Oceanco vessel, it would lose future business from other Russians.
