Tom Brady being scolded by Birmingham fans over Wayne Rooney rumors as Man United legend is linked with manager’s job
Birmingham City FC fans have slammed Tom Brady and warned the NFL great to ‘f off’ amid speculations that Wayne Rooney could replace current boss John Eustace.
DC United of Major League Soccer is likely to part ways with Rooney, who revealed their mutual agreement to part ways on Saturday, and the English soccer great is already being linked with a move to Birmingham.
Following the announcement of his upcoming departure from DC, Rooney has been named the ‘obvious frontrunner’ to succeed Eustace as manager of England’s West Midlands region.
Birmingham have made a solid start to the season and currently sit sixth in the Sky Bet Championship – the second tier of English football – with 18 points and a 5-3-3 record through the first 11 games of the season.
Brady recently joined the club as a minority owner and it is unknown just how much sаy he would have in a potential managerial change.

Birmingham fans are not best pleased with reports linking Rooney with their manager’s job However, amid links to an MLS coach with a high-profile nаme, the six-time Suρer Bowl champion has become a target for fans wishing to express their fury at reports linking them with a move for Rooney.
‘F ‘I will be devastated if they don’t give Eustace till the end of the season… He’s blue he’s Birmingham and he’s a great manager…@TomBrady DONT DO IT Rooney can wait …’, posted another fan.
‘@TomBrady Listen to the Birmingham city fans and tell [Tom] Wagner we don’t want Wayne Rooney in charge of our club – Believe in John Eustace 6th in the league beating west brom 3-1 is massive Come on Tom Believe in John KEEP RIGHT ON’, pleaded another Birmingham City supporter.
Rooney recently announced his departure from DC, only a year after he took over the club while they sat bottom of the MLS table. The team ended last season as the worst team in the league with only 27 points and a record of 7-6-21.
In his first – and now only – full season as DC United manager Rooney was able to help the team improve and move up to what is currently a ninth-place finish in the MLS Eastern Conference, although that may change as other teams wrap up their final games.

Birmingham City fans took to X to voice their anger and plea with the team not to hire Rooney
‘I think it’s just the right time. I’ve done everything I can to try and get the club into the playoffs.,’ Rooney said as part of his announcement. ‘It’s not been a single thing which has happened. It’s about timing in your career.
‘I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I’ve had a lot of great help from the owners… I just feel like it’s the right time for me to go back to England, first to obviously see my family. I haven’t seen them for a long time.’
‘And then, what lies ahead? Whether opportunities come up? I’ve seen a lot of reports in the media. I don’t have anything lined up.
‘I’m going back there to see my family. If something comes up in October, November, of course I’ll look at it.’off @TomBrady @JeremySDale Tom Wagner and Garry Cook are about to lose all respect and support from the Birmingham fans. What a truly disgusting and ridiculous decision #BCFC,’ one fan who was angered by the rumors tweeted in disgust.
