John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are used to changing residences. By now, we’re used to it. Model, TV personality, and home-cooking expert Teigen adds, “We’re always open to a new house, or to changing the house we’re in.” Legend, her superstar musician husband, corrects her, saying, “When she says we, she means she.” Legend’s impressive resume includes an Oscar for best original song, twelve Grammy Awards, an Emmy, and a Tony. But it’s accurate. We don’t mind making changes,” he continues.
The couple’s tendency to purchase homes again isn’t just a result of whimsy. “Like chapters in a book, every house we’ve ever had reflects the moment we were in in our lives,” Teigen claims. Legend adds, “Our previous house was more secluded and darker, like a sanctuary.” This location drew us in with its airiness and lightness. We like how airy and linked to the outside it feels. We wanted to build something spectacular, particularly for the kids,” he says, referring to their recently arrived son Wren, whose surrogate delivery in June was announced on Teigen’s Instagram to the delight of hordes of fans. The kids are seven-year-old Luna, five-year-old Miles, baby Esti, and Wren.
