With the Raiders, the former Patriots wide out has had an instant impact. He is now the player with the most receiving yards on the New England squad, despite missing one game due to a concussion.Against the Green Bay Packers in Week 5, he led the Raiders team—which also has All-Pro receiver Davante Adams—with seven receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown. A total stat line of 36 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns is the result of those stats.Bill Belichick, the coach of the Patriots, did not do himself any favors when he decided to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster rather than paying to retain Meyers after another impressive performance.
When Meyers learned that Smith-Schuster had signed with his previous team, he tweeted, “cold world lol,” expressing his desire to remain in New England.
For Belichick, who is currently 1-4 on the season and has just suffered two historically awful losses, the world is getting even colder. Smith-Schuster has 14 catches for 86 yards in five Patriots games.
