Kendrick Lamar has called the oceanfront neighborhood of Manhattan Beach home for a significant portion of his life.
The world-famous rapper and artist resided there for many years as a renter before making the decision to buy a brand-new mansion there three years ago. His brand-new home is located in the same neighborhood as the sandy beach and deep blue ocean, and it is only two short streets away from his front door. But now that he has just completed the purchase of a property in the classic style in the renowned East Gate area of Bel Air, he is relocating to a location much further inland.
According to the public documents, Lamar ended up purchasing his new property for $15.9 million, which is quite close to the full asking price. The structure, which was initially constructed in the early 1950s by the well-known Los Angeles architect Edward Fickett, has been “renewed” and expanded in a significant way since that time. It now has a main house as well as a guesthouse that is two stories tall. The combined living space of these two buildings is just over 8,000 square feet, and there are seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Lamar’s new house has a two-car garage and additional parking space for up to eight vehicles tucked off to the side. It is hidden away behind walls and gates on a level piece of land that is approximately three quarters of an acre in size. In spite of the lack of fresh images in the MLS listing, a previous rental offering depicts a big living/dining area with cozy hardwood flooring, a brick fireplace, and access to a covered patio.
.
An additional highlight is a family room that is connected to a contemporary kitchen that features a butler’s pantry, an eat-in island, and high-end stainless steel appliances. This portion of the home is designed to look like an atrium. The private master suite can be found at the end of a very long hallway. It has a sitting space beside the fireplace, as well as a huge bathroom with two vanities and a clawfoot soaking tub. In addition, there is a combination office and library, a movie theater, a wine cellar, and a fitness center.

In addition to a sundeck, a koi pond, and a location set aside for dining in the open air, the walled-in, grassy grounds feature both a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. Other features on the grounds include a koi pond. On the first level of the guesthouse that was just described, you’ll find the combined living room and dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room. In addition to that, the guesthouse has an additional two bedrooms and a bathroom that are located upstairs.

Lamar’s other homes are located in Manhattan Beach and Bel Air, but he also has a property in Calabasas, which is currently occupied by various members of his family and has been for a considerable amount of time.
