Red Bull Inks Young German Talent Tim Tramnitz for 2024 F3 Prospect
Red Bull Racing has welcomed 18-year-old German driver Tim Tramnitz into their prestigious young driver development program, with plans for his entry into the F3 championship in the upcoming season. Tramnitz’s performance in the Formula Regional series, highlighted by two victories and six podium finishes in 2023, has earned him this promising opportunity.
Tramnitz follows in the footsteps of fellow German Sebastian Vettel, who rose through the same junior program to claim four Formula 1 world championships. His next career milestone involves transitioning to the F3 category, for which he has already completed four days of testing with the Dutch team MP Motorsport.
Tramnitz expressed his excitement about the new chapter, saying, “Being part of the Red Bull junior team opens up completely new opportunities for me. Recently, we didn’t know whether we could even take the next step towards Formula 3. Now I’m really looking forward to the new challenge.”
Red Bull’s Renowned Junior Driver Program
Tramnitz joins an impressive roster of young talent within Red Bull’s junior driver program, which includes notable figures like Liam Lawson, Jak Crawford, Enzo Fittipaldi, and Sebastian Montoya. This program has been a breeding ground for Formula 1 stars, with Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, and many others having emerged from its ranks.
As Red Bull Racing eyes the future, the contract of current driver Sergio Perez is set to conclude next season, and questions loom regarding the long-term commitment of three-time world champion Max Verstappen to the sport.
