On Thursday night, during the first of her six sold-out shows in Los Angeles as part of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift proved to be the ultimate pop force.
The 33-year-old multi-Grammy Award winner sang her best hits at the little over 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Fans were treated to opening act performances by singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams and members of the band Haim, Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim.
Numerous celebrities, such as Madelyn Cline from Outer Banks and actress Sofia Carson, attended the major event.
Since some fans have noticed a professional film crew at the stadium, there have been rumors that Swift’s LA gigs are being shot for a potential Eras Tour. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reportedly has a lot of security in place to help them handle the large crowds for all six performances, according to TMZ.
The safety measures are comparable to those implemented before Super Bowl LVI at the venue, which can accommodate 70,240 people, last year.
“The Department is providing a similar level of visibility as the 2022 Superbowl in order to ensure the safety of the public throughout the Metro System,” according to a statement released by the LAPD on Tuesday.
The LA Times reports that with an estimated half a million set to attend, Swift’s concerts are expected to generate “$150 million in spending to the area.”
Swift made her debut with a stunning bodysuit made of rhinestones and matching red-bottomed Christian Louboutin pumps.
She wore a vibrant red lip with lots of pink blush and her trademark black winged liner.
Using a pastel pink guitar and a pastel purple microphone with a stand that honors her 2019 album Lover, the ex-girlfriend of Harry Styles sang.
Swift made an entrance in her next glamorous ensemble, a gold dress with beaded fringe reminiscent of a flapper.
Wearing a gold version of her fancy rhinestone boots, she pranced around.
The night before her March 1st gig, the Mean hitmaker dazzling herself with a sparkling silver guitar, replacing her pink one.
Halfway through the sold-out performance, Swift introduced Haim for a duet.Swift’s album Folklore (2020) has the song “no body, no crime,” which she performed with the group.
Swift changed into a flirtatious floral-patterned yellow dress with ruffles for the performance.
Wearing the attire, she sang some of her beloved ballads for her audience at the piano.
Swift also donned a matching robe and a seductive red and black leotard embellished with rhinestones.
Swift’s North American leg of her stadium tour was scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles on August 9 after it began in Glendale, Arizona, in March.
However, the Anti-Hero hitmaker added 15 extra dates on Thursday, which will allow her to visit Ontario, Canada, Indiana, Florida, and Louisiana again.
Swift stated on Twitter, “It turns out that this isn’t the end of an era.” “The Eras Tour will visit you in 2024 in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto with @gracieabrams!”
She also gave me an Eras Tour flier with all the additional shows’ dates and locations.
Since the beginning of her tour, Swift has had the venue employees give each guest a light-up wristband to wear during the three-hour performance.
However, viewers spotted a modification to the routine on Thursday night.
Attendees found that their bracelets were left on every seat in the stadium, rather than being given to them at the door.
Additionally, some concertgoers noticed that the wristbands had a somewhat different appearance due to the brighter lights.
