Kendrick Lamar has called the oceanfront neighborhood of Manhattan Beach home for a significant portion of his life. The world-famous rapper and artist resided there for many years as a renter before making the decision to buy a brand-new mansion there three years ago. His brand-new home is located in the same neighborhood as the sandy beach and deep blue ocean, and it is only two short streets away from his front door.
But now that he has just completed the purchase of a property in the classic style in the renowned East Gate area of Bel Air, he is relocating to a location much further inland.
According to records, Lamar paid $15.9 million for his new mansion, which is almost the whole asking amount. The early 1950s building, which was built by renowned L.A. architect Edward Fickett, has been vigorously “renewed” and expanded since then. It now consists of a main house and a two-story guesthouse, with a combined living area of just over 8,000 square feet and seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Lamar’s new home features a two-car garage and additional parking space for up to eight vehicles tucked off to the side, and is nestled away behind walls and gates on a flat tract of ground measuring about three-quarters of an acre. Despite the dearth of recent MLS pictures, a prior rental offering does depict a roomy living/dining space with warm hardwood flooring, a brick fireplace, and access to a covered patio.

In addition to a sundeck, a koi pond, and an area designated for dining in the fresh air, the walled-in, grassy grounds also have a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. The living room/dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room are all located on the first floor of the guesthouse that was just stated earlier. Additionally, the guesthouse also features two extra bedrooms and a bathroom located above.

In addition to the homes he maintains in Manhattan Beach and Bel Air, Lamar has a property in Calabasas, which is currently occupied by several members of his family and has been for a considerable amount of time.
