There has been a turnover of two slots on the Foxborough practice squad.
Mark Daniels of MassLive was the first to report on the signings of defensive end William Bradley-King and running back Patrick Taylor by the New England Patriots on Wednesday.
These were two of the free agents the team just brought in for workouts.
The Green Bay Packers dismissed Taylor, 25, last week after he began the season with three elevations and spent time on the 53-man roster. The 6-foot-2, 217-pound back was not drafted out of Memphis in 2020 and played in 27 games for the NFC North. Through 52 touches, he has accrued 151 rushing yards, 48 receiving yards, and one score during his NFL career.
The Washington Commanders selected 25-year-old Bradley-King at pick No. 240 overall in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL draft. The 6-foot-3, 254-pound former transfer from Arkansas State to Baylor was cut from the practice squad on Saturday. He has played in four games. In 83 defensive plays, he has seven tackles and one half-sack.
Wide receiver T.J. Luther and defensive tackle Manny Jones were also cut from the practice squad in matching actions.
With September upon us, Luther, 23, became one of the New England group of sixteen. After passing on Wofford and Gardner-Webb, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound undrafted rookie played for the New York Jets for the preceding four months. Luther, who was cut at the 53-man deadline by the league, was a preseason target who also saw time on special teams.
Jones, a 24-year-old, signed late in September. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Colorado State prospect, who was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, started his rookie season on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals. He played in four games and totaled six tackles in 59 defensive snaps. After being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in May, he was released from waivers in August.
On Sunday, Gillette Stadium will host the Buffalo Bills. The game will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
