Just months after Achilles surgery, Aaron Rodgers wants to play for the Jets this season. That is a lofty aim, but Brady admires Rodgers’ dedication to football and his team.
Brady said Rodgers is doing everything he can to speed up his Achilles recovery on his “Let’s Go” podcast. Brady highlighted that although some players use every excuse to leave the field, Rodgers is utilizing every resource to return.
“Well, he’s pretty determined to get back, and I really appreciate that about Aaron,” he remarked. Some guys, I susρect, utilize injuries to avoid playing. I’m inspired by a guy like that because he loves the game. Missing anything for his teammates bothers him. It felt like that.
“All great competitors want to compete weekly. Many of my teammates had every motive to quit a game. Aaron is doing everything he can to return to the field, and hopefully his team is still in it.”
Achilles injuries are typically difficult to heal quickly. Still, Rodgers will do whatever to return and aid the Jets. Brady says “winners” have that approach, and his teammates will respect his hard ethic.Even if Rodgers doesn’t return by 2023, his drive and determination are unquestionable.
“I know it’s a tough bаttle,” Brady added. “I respect his attempt to recover from a terrible ιnjury. That’s how winners act. They try to rejoin their friends in combat. You have friends. Your pals. These are your opponents. The nicest part is that they seem to understand what he’s doing.”Rodgers’ rehabilitation has advanced significantly. He threw before Sunday’s Jets triumph over the Eagles. Despite promising signals, Rodgers told “The Pat McAfee Show” there is still work to do.”It’s not just going to be boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,” he remarked. I must meet single-leg strength, heel raise, and explosive movement criteria. All these progressions require time.”
