The unthinkable has happened: Russian billionaire Andrew Guryev’s seized superyacht, Alfa Nero, is on the move! The vessel was spotted leaving Jolly Harbor, Antigua, and this was confirmed when its AIS was turned on after three months of dormancy. This 267-foot boat had been abandoned by its owner back in February 2022 in Falmouth Harbor. The luxury vessel had been docked in St. John’s Harbor at the Yacht Club Marina, which was sadly gutted by fire along with several neighboring businesses.According to AIS data on Marine Traffic, the vessel has been cruising the Caribbean Sea and has now anchored at Saint Kitts and Nevis under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda. It’s in close proximity to the Charleston Ferry Pier and, for the first time in almost two years, it’s showing signs of a ship, as it’s sailing along the West Coast of the island. The main question here is why the splendid Oceanco-built superyacht left the harbor with no new owner in sight?

Alfa Nero has been stuck in a legal limbo after being abandoned in Antigua’s Falmouth harbor.Per eSysman SuperYacht, Antigua is expecting its worst storm to Һit the island, which might explain the move of the Alfa Nero motoryacht to Saint Kitts for protection. However, considering that this is the first time Alfa Nero has sailed out from Antigua, especially since it has weathered storms in the island nation before, it’s safe to speculate that the yacht might have gone for maintenance. There’s also the possibility that Alfa Nero has finally been sold, or perhaps Andrew Guryev’s daughter, Yulia Guryeva-Motlokhov, has taken custody of the boat, paid the dues, and left with her affluent father’s pleasure craft.

On the other hand, Saint Kitts is a dual-island nation located within striking distance of some of the region’s most beloved cruising grounds. It’s no wonder that the incredible Alfa Nero is joining the ranks of noteworthy superyachts that populate the marinas of Saint Kitts.
