She’s never been one to let her style down.
And on Wednesday evening, Selena Gomez stepped out for dinner in London.
The 23-year-old took the leap in a provocative split-to-the-thigh dress that showed off her toned and voluptuous form.
The singer recently explained how overcoming and dismissing criticism about her body affected her next album, Revival.
Selena admitted to Extra that she ‘was getting a lot of hate for my body and “gaining weight,” and so I was in Mexico and I was just feeling all of this stuff and I would be lying to you if I said it didn’t kind of hurt my feelings, but I kind of channeled that into my music.’
The emotional encounter occurred while Selena was in Mexico with her “favorite” producers and writers to work on her upcoming album.
‘I felt like everyone was talking so much, and I was like, “I need to say something,” even if it has nothing to do with that,’ she said of writing the music.
‘My songs on the record are Survivors, Kill ‘Em With Kindness, Rise, it’s all geared towards me trying to be heard, and I think this is the best thing I’ve ever done in my entire career,’ Selena said, adding that she has commiserated with gal pals Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato over negative comments online.
Selena, who was promoting her next animated feature Transylvania 2, also stated that she had briefly erased her Instagram account from her phone in order to ignore mean-spirited remarks.
‘Well, I think it’s really hard now more than ever because there’s so much access to people’s hearts, and it really saddens me out because it’s hard to disregard all of that,’ said the actress.
‘You know, I had to delete Instagram from my phone for a week and just not get on it.’Because that’s insane, and I couldn’t imagine being 13 and coping with it.
