After winning two straight, the Dallas Cowboys are rolling. They can improve by making a deal or two before the deadline. However, Dallas owner Jerry Jones says a trade is “unlikely” and no deal is imminent. Jon Machota of The Athletic
Jerry Jones told @1053thefan that the Cowboys are unlikely to trade before today’s NFL trade deadline. “I’m not seeing anything.” Dealing would take time, he added. That seems unlikely now.”
Jones’ comments followed his admission that the Cowboys need оffensive line depth. Tyron Smith missed Week 8’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, and guard Chuma Edoga left the second half due to an ankle ιnjury.
Don’t expect the Cowboys to make a splash at the NFL trade deadline
If Dallas is quiet at the trade deadline, the organization will have to look elsewhere to strengthen their squad for the stretch drive. Today, the Cowboys are 5-2. They face the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9 in a matchup of the top two NFC East clubs.
