Selena Gomez has returned to the stage for the first time since her emergency visit to the hospital last Thursday.
At Santa Monica Place Mall, the 18-year-old performed live and answered questions about her upcoming film Monte Carlo.
During her appearance, she also admitted to being’malnourished and fatigued’ when she was admitted to the hospital.
When asked about the cause of her health scare, she told reporters today, “I was just very malnourished, so I was low on iron and exhausted.”
Selena looked as excited as ever in a revealing white embroidered shirt and a pair of mini-shorts for her stage performance, which was rescheduled from Friday due to the singer’s illness.
She accessorized with strappy black and brown stilettos and Tiffany jewelry.
She sang her two big songs ‘Who Says’ and ‘A Year Without Rain’ and talked with the 500 admirers who came to see her, apologizing for her missed appearance on Friday.
‘I really appreciate you coming,’ she remarked. ‘If you came on Friday, I’m very sorry I couldn’t be there. I really like you guys.
‘I feel much better!’
After frightening fans with her emergency hospital visit, Selena assured them today via Twitter that she was well.
‘Feeling much better, thank you all for your patience,’ she tweeted.
Selena was apparently brought to the emergency department due to blood pressure issues, but no further information were released until the singer’s admission today.
She was stated to be complaining of nausea and a bad headache at the time of the incident, and she returned to the hospital on Saturday appearing fatigued and run down.
But she was in much better spirits today, and she appeared eager about her performance.
‘Can’t wait to meet you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kick off,’ she said of her mall visit, which is the first in a 10-city tour.
‘I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of the get well wishes,’ she wrote on her official Facebook page. I adore you two very much.’
At the weekend, Selena was seen entering a hospital in Burbank, California, clad in grey tracksuit bottoms and a yellow and white striped vest.
She was clutching a jumper and had hospital bands on her wrists.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star was transported to the hospital on Thursday night after appearing on American television.
According to an insider, Gomez was ‘nothing but professional’ during her appearance on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.
‘She did a backstage interview and hung out with Jim Carrey after the show,’ says the press. ‘The Tonight Show crew had no idea she wasn’t feeling well,’ the person claimed.
