Scott Zolak, a former New England Patriot, said on his radio show on Wednesday that the Minnesota Vikings “reached out” to Tom Brady about the chance of him coming back to football to play quarterback for the team.
Zolak, on the other hand, said that Brady may have turned down the Vikings’ offer for a second chance to play in the NFL.
It’s not clear when the claimed denial took place, but it makes the most sense that it happened after Kirk Cousins, Minnesota’s starting quarterback to start the season, hurt his Achilles on October 29 and had to miss the rest of the season.
Instead, the Vikings got Joshua Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals to try to get back into the playoff picture while Cousins was out.
After Joe Burrow was ruled out for the rest of the season because of ιnjury, the show talked about how the seven-time Suρer Bowl winner might be able to save the Bengals. But Zolak ruled that out, saying that Brady “is done.”
After quitting for the second time, Tom Brady hasn’t said that he wants to play football again.
Kirk Cousins hurt his Achilles tendon on October 29 against the Packers, ending his season.
Scott Zolak, a former center for the New England Patriots, never played with Brady because he retired in 2000.
The supposed investigation has not been talked about by anyone from Minnesota’s group.
He also said that the Miami Dolphins asked Brady to come back to sports in March.
Brady ended his first retirement less than 40 days after the 2021 season. He returned to the NFL last year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Since he put away his shoulder pads for good earlier this year, Brady has said more than once that he is done playing football.
Brady made news earlier this week when he said, “There’s a lot of mediocrity in today’s NFL.”
Brady will join FOX Sports’ NFL reporting team for the 2024 season. He will be 46 years old in August.
