Lewis Hamilton continued to show off his eccentric sense of style as he prepared for the F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi at Yas Marina Circuit on Saturday.
The British world champion looked stunning in an orange and brown tie-dyed all-in-one ensemble.
The Formula One driver, 38, kept his head down and seemed concentrated ahead of the last race of the season on Sunday.
The clothing looked to be loose fitting, with the trousers cutting a baggy fit around the sportsman’s legs.
Lewis completed the image by wearing brown leather combat boots and hiding his eyes behind huge black sunglasses.
He wore his dark and golden strands in a ponytail and accessorized with his usual big silver chain necklace.
Lewis proudly displayed his incredible collection of tattoos while flaunting his toned arms.
However, it was a dismal day for the driver, as he failed to qualify for Q3, meaning he would start 11th in Sunday’s race.
Meanwhile, following a sensational qualifying effort, Max Verstappen will start the season finale on pole position.
The world champion will be joined on the front row by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who claimed his 12th pole of the season.
It comes after Lewis was seen wandering along the track on Thursday when a fan urgently tried to snap a photo with him.
The F1 star stood out in an electric blue buttoned shirt with shoulder lapels and no sleeves.
He combined the unusual shirt, which showed off his elaborate tattoo sleeves and toned arms, with a similar pair of enormous slacks.
The athlete topped off his ensemble with a pair of Burberry Leather Trek Boots for over £1,000 and £470 women’s BOTTEGA VENETA sunglasses.
The fan, who was carrying a VIP lanyard, was seen wearing a white t-shirt and denim shorts as she leaned in for a photo.
It comes only days after Lewis was at the center of a transfer rumor storm.
The player denied pursuing a lucrative switch to Red Bull, instead saying the world champions contacted him.
The seven-time world champion was replying to Mail Sport’s allegation that Red Bull team director Christian Horner had received a call from someone close to Hamilton asking whether they had a place available.
That happened earlier this year, during Hamilton’s contract discussions with Mercedes. The 38-year-old has subsequently signed a new contract with the Silver Arrows that would keep him at the club until the end of 2025 for £50 million a year.
‘Christian messaged me,’ Lewis remarked in the paddock ahead of Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
‘I would be more than happy to race against Max (Verstappen) in the same car. That would be wonderful. But I don’t think he wants me to be his team-mate.’
Asked if he had approached Red Bull, Hamilton said: ‘No. I did not.
‘I checked with everyone in my team and nobody has spoken to them but they have tried to reach out to us.’
Asked whether he thought it strange Horner had mentioned his name this week, the Briton said: ‘Not really. If you think about it there are a lot of people here who like to drop my name in conversations because they know it will make waves…
‘And if you are a little bit lonely and are not getting much attention that is the perfect thing to do – just to mention my name.
‘He’s stirring things.
‘I did tell Toto (about the claimed contact). I have so much respect for him and we have a great relationship. If people think those things (about leaving) it is never positive.
‘I replied to him (Horner) on my new phone. It was months later. I just said congratulations on the amazing season and that I hope we are able to compete with you soon, and he replied repeating the same thing (presumably about catching up).
‘Just stepping into the best car wouldn’t do much for me. Working with my team to beat them would be better for my legacy.’
Although the first half of that statement is legally correct, it is thought that Hamilton’s father Anthony, rather than a hired member of his staff, called Horner.
Hamilton claims, ‘I picked up my old phone that I just discovered at home,’ thickening the story. It contains my old phone number. I turned it on, and hundreds of messages came in, one of which was from Christian, inviting us to get together and catch up at the conclusion of the season.’
To say the least, it’s strange why Horner would want to talk with Hamilton at the conclusion of the season.
When asked whether Horner had explicitly mentioned driving for them, Hamilton said, ‘He simply spoke about having a catch-up.’
