For a considerable amount of time, Kendrick Lamar has been a resident of the picturesque neighborhood of Manhattan Beach. The famous rapper and songwriter had rented the property for a considerable amount of time before purchasing a brand-new mansion there three years ago.
The estate is located just two short streets away from the beach and the ocean. Recent events have resulted in his acquisition of a residence in the East Gate district of Bel Air, which is known for its classical architecture.
The public records indicate that Lamar paid $15.9 million for his new estate, which is pretty close to the total amount that was being asked for it. The cream-colored wood and brick-accented structure was constructed in the early 1950s and was designed by the well-known Los Angeles architect Edward Fickett.
Since then, it has undergone extensive “renovations” and been expanded. It now consists of a main house and a two-story guesthouse, and it has a total of seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms in a living space that is slightly more than 8,000 square feet.
The new residence of Lamar is concealed behind walls and gates on a plot of land that is approximately three quarters of an acre in size. It features a garage that can accommodate two cars and additional parking space that can accommodate up to eight automobiles tucked alongside it.
Despite the absence of current photographs on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), a prior rental listing for the property portrays a spacious living and dining space that features warm hardwood floors, a stone fireplace, and access to a covered terrace.
Additionally, there is a family room that is designed to resemble an atrium and is connected to a contemporary kitchen that features an eat-in island, equipment made of stainless steel, a butler’s pantry, and a breakfast room that is adjacent to the kitchen. A fireplace-side sitting area and a spacious bathroom with twin vanities and a clawfoot soaking tub are included in the private master retreat, which also features a movie theater, a wine cellar, a gym, and an office/library. Additionally, the retreat features a wine cellar. Secluded along a lengthy corridor is where you will find the master retreat.
Outside, the grounds are grassy and enclosed, and they include a swimming pool and spa that are encircled by a sundeck, a koi pond, and an outdoor dining area. In addition, there is a guesthouse that is located on the main level and features a living/dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room. Additionally, there are two extra bedrooms and a bathroom located on the second story.
Throughout his 20-year music career, Lamar has attained unprecedented levels of success. The 35-year-old Compton native won a staggering 14 Grammys out of 39 nominations, received a Pulitzer Prize for “DAMN.” — the first nonclassical or jazz recording to ever receive the prestigious award for music, and even performed a hip hop-centric Super Bowl halftime performance this year.
Additionally, Lamar has a mansion in Calabasas, which has been inhabited by members of his family for a considerable amount of time. This residence is in addition to his homes in Manhattan Beach and Bel Air.
