Brazilian model Kelly Piquet, 34, turned heads on the Abu Dhabi beach as she soaked up the sun ahead of her boyfriend Max Verstappen’s last race of the Formula 1 season. Verstappen, the 26-year-old world champion, is set to conclude a remarkable 2023 campaign, and Piquet shared pictures on Instagram showcasing her beach relaxation.
In the images, Kelly, daughter of disgraced F1 world champion Nelson Piquet, wore a stylish cream dress and sported sunglasses. She captioned the photos with “Sea, sun and sand with my bestie ,” referring to her four-year-old daughter, Penelope, whom she shares with former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat.
Kelly, who has been dating Verstappen since 2020, boasts a diverse career, having worked as a stylist assistant for Vogue Latin America and a buyer for Bergdorf Goodman. Additionally, she has modeled for brands such as Pepe Jeans, PatBo, and Louis Vuitton. Kelly’s involvement in motorsports extends to her role as part of the social media team for Formula E.
Verstappen, aiming for a record-extending 19th win of the season, secured pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A victory in the final race would also elevate him to third place on the all-time list of most Grand Prix wins with 54, surpassing Sebastian Vettel. The Dutch driver has dominated the 2023 season, winning all but one of the 17 races since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in April.
