Aaron Rodgers left a Pat McAfee Show interview.
When the show is on the road in New York City at ESPN Studios, the Jets quarterback should stop by and eventually appear.
Aaron Rodgers (center) spoke on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.
Post-Achilles tear, Rodgers is recuperating.
Rodgers, now in his fourth season as a weekly contributor, spent over an hour with McAfee and co. before leaving the studio.
Just over 12 weeks after tearing his Achilles in their season opener against the Buffalo Bills, the mustachioed four-time NFL MVP looked excellent leaving the studio.
Rodgers looked sculpted in his grey slacks, black fitting top, blue sneakers, red cap, and sunglasses while walking alone.
He signed autographs and posed with a fan.
Rodgers has always been frank on McAfee’s show.
Having returned to limited training last week when the organization opened his 21-day practice window, rumors have circulated about his football return.
Rodgers said December 24 was his goal throughout his recuperation (when they play the Washingtоn Commanders).
He joked, “You never know what could happen.”Rodgers may not want to rιsk returning so soon from such a significant ιnjury, especially with the Jets’ 4-8 record and poor playoff hopes.
He was reluctant on his return, but he was much more forthcoming in defending Zach Wilson.
After being dropped in Weeks 12 and 13, sources informed The Athletic on Monday that Wilson was “hesitant to step back into the [starter] role”.
Rodgers was outraged with the source, asking McAfee, “What is your impetus, what is your motivation to try and bury someone like that?”
This was an issue Rodgers intended to “get to the bottom of,” adding it had “no place in a winning culture.”
He said he was curious to watch how the squad handles their recent slump to finish the season.
“It will be interesting to see how guys respond because we’ve had adversity, we’ve seen our guys deal with adversity,” he said.
Who will finish this season professionally? Who will buy into this, put good ball on tape, and take joy in their performance?”
Rodgers added, “Cause I’ve been on a couple of teams where down the stretch it’s been rough.”I’ve seen it when things aren’t going well, and it shows character then.
“So it’ll be interesting to see if guys stick together, and we hold this thing together, because there’ll be a lot of interesting decisions moving forward.”
Rodgers autographed a fan’s Jets cap.
He took a snapshot with another fan.
Rodgers was vague about his return date but said December 24 was his goal.
