Selena Gomez has acknowledged her romance with Benny Blanco, a music producer.
In a photo posted on her Instagram stories on Thursday, December 7, the singer/actress, 31, nestled up to Benny, 35.
In the photo, Selena rested her head on his shoulder, with Benny’s face obscured.
The photo was taken after she liked and commented on ‘Facts’ beneath the Popfactions Instagram, which stated that the star’seemingly confirms’ that she is ‘in a relationship.’
Selena’s supporters chastised her after she uploaded a photo of herself cuddling up with Benny, citing his earlier digs at her.
She also said that they have been dating for six months and that he treats her the best of anyone.
Selena and Benny already follow one other on Instagram, as does Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefey.
Selena had previously commented on Benny’s Instagram picture promoting his new cookbook, ‘Open Wide.’
According to Popfactions, she simply typed ‘Finally’ with hands up emojis.
She also reposted it in her stories, writing, ‘One of my favs is releasing a food book [sic].’
Benny’s newest Instagram story post was also published on the social media site.
In the stories, he holds up a handwritten note that he claims is from his girlfriend, partly blocking a woman sleeping in front of him who appears to be Selena.
‘I am so bloated, please do not squeeze/hold onto my waist tonight or I’ll fart a hole through the blankets,’ the scribbled message added. Love you,’ with a smiley face, heart, and the image of air being released sketched on it.
He captioned the photo of the note and the woman, who appears to be Selena sleeping, ‘My gf left this warning for me on my pillow.’
Benny attended Selena’s 31st birthday celebration in July, with her arm seductively wrapped around his waist as he stood behind her.
Selena had previously hinted that she has a crush on someone while filming her Christmas show Selena + Chef, but has not revealed who.
Selena and Benny previously collaborated on three songs, including the 2021 single I Can’t Get Enough.
The vocals on Benny’s song were performed by Selena and J. Balvin.
In 2015, Benny also produced her song Same Old Love.
In 2020, Benny attempted to disparage Selena by praising her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber while criticizing her in a thinly disguised remark.
Benny collaborated with Justin on his 2021 single “Lonely.”
In a 2020 interview with Zach Sang, he gushed about Justin while pretending to disparage other celebrities with makeup brands.
Selena established her beauty line Rare Beauty in 2020.
‘Justin isn’t one of those formulaic pop performers. They’re like, “This is my new single, and here’s my makeup line.” And he says, Justin says, “Yo. “I have a pimple and I’m anxious today,” Benny explained. “He’s always been honest about that stuff.”
