The film titled ‘Apex’ began filming earlier this year at the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend, with both actors racing lower formula cars.
Fans of Formula One and moviegoers alike have been waiting for something for a long time. Hollywood great Brad Pitt will star in a film about the peak of motorsport produced by F1 veteran Lewis Hamilton, a film that will have an impact on both the sport and the theaters. However, a strike happened in 2023, which disrupted the filmmaking process.
The Writers’ Guild strike, which requested more equitable pay for writers, cut filming for the picture in half. The film, titled ‘Apex,’ was shot in Silverstone for one location but was unable to continue owing to the strike. Due to the stretch of time, seven-time Formula One winner Hamilton stated that the film would be postponed until early 2025.
“Probably early 2025, I would imagine, with the post-work they’d have to do. So it’s been delayed a lot.”
Lewis Hamilton claims sponsorships for the F1 movie with Brad Pitt have ‘all changed’
The upcoming film ‘Apex’ stars Brad Pitt and is produced by Lewis Hamilton. The film explores the competition between a senior champion driver and a young hotshot rookie on the grid, which is eerily similar to Hamilton’s 2007 Championship battle with two-time champion Fernando Alonso.
