When SPORTS commentator Tony Romo made a statement during Sunday’s game, people were taken aback.
On CBS, Romo and Jim Nantz called the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game.
Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Tony Romo provided game commentary for CBS.
And pop sensation Taylor Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium once more.
In the second quarter, she witnessed her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, make a huge play for the Chiefs.
CBS cameras cut to her rejoicing over Kelce’s significant gain.
Additionally, Romo called her “Kelce’s wife.”
Swift and Kelce have been dating for a few months; in October, they made their first public show of affection.
Fans who were watching the game noticed Romo’s comment and expressed their outrage on social media.
One of them said: “Romo just called Taylor Swift Kelce’s wife, Somewhere the swifties are screaming.”
Someone else wrote: “NFL announcer said Kelce’s WIFE then corrected saying girlfriend… do they know something we don’t?!?”
“Tony Romo calling Taylor ‘Kelce’s wife’ is nuts,” wrote a third commenter.
Since September, when romance rumors started to surface, Swift has often attended Kelce’s games.
During the Chiefs bye week, Kelce traveled to see Swift play, thus roles were flipped.
To witness the most recent leg of her Eras Tour, the Chiefs tight end took a plane to Argentina.
Additionally, Swift was seen kissing backstage as she altered a few song lyrics in praise of her new partner.
