In F1’s first visit to the new Florida circuit, last season’s title adversary Max Verstappen beаt Charles Leclerc to the checkered flag. Hamilton finished sixth.

Beckham met Max Verstappen, Checo Perez, Christian Horner, and Geri, Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmate, at Red Bull.
The seven-time champion qualified sixth for Sunday’s race.

The awkwardest moment was when he mistaken NBA great Paolo Banchero for NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, forcing the mortified basketball player to correct him.

Hamilton arrived in full pink, living up to the race’s reputation.
The Brit sits ninth in the drivers’ standings after struggling with his Mercedes car this season.
His colleague George Russell had a terrible qualifying session as the porpoising affected the Silver Arrows’ pace.
Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff said: “We put a high performance car in FP2 in a great spot.
“Our studies in FP3 were absolutely off today.
You can see we’re off since the car is still bouncing like a kangaroo and the drivers are unhappy.
“We know what works best. The drop from yesterday and today helped.”
