Even though the Dallas Cowboys lost badly to the Buffalo Bills 31–10 on Sunday, they still secured a playoff spot in the NFC. However, quarterback Dak Prescott was too upset to party.
Press asked Prescott about the team’s playoff spot, and he said, “Don’t care, to be honest.”
The Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons both lost on Sunday, and the Detroit Lions beаt the Denver Broncos on Saturday. This meant that the Cowboys were already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs before their game against the Bills even started.
Dallas was feeling great after beating the Philadelphia Eagles easily in Week 14. They went into Sunday’s game on a good note. But it was hard for the team to get anything going at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo because it was raining.
The Cowboys could only get 195 yards of offense, which was the fewest of the season. There was one interception and 21 completions for 134 yards by Prescott. The team’s only touchdown came from a three-yard run by star receiver CeeDee Lamb late in the fourth quarter, when the Bills were ahead 31-3.
Next Sunday, Dallas will go on the road to play the AFC East-leading Miami Dolphins. Things won’t get easier for them. They put on a show against the New York Jets on Sunday, beаting them 30-0. Week 17 will be another game against a division leader. The Cowboys will face the Lions, who beаt the Broncos 42–17. Finally, the team will play the Washingtоn Commanders in the last game of the season.
For the first time since 1995, Dallas wants to make it past the divisional round of the playoffs. This will push the team to get back on track and finish the season strong.
