More than a year after he and Gisele Bündchen filed for divorce, NFL icon Tom Brady shared a mysterious message on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday regarding “a lying cheating heart”.
The late great boxer Muhammad Ali was credited with saying it. The quotations were taken from an April 1978 UN speech by Ali about South Africa and the struggle against apartheid.
The Instagram Stories image was captioned by Brady with the words “be proud of the man in the glass.”
“A person’s personality. a person’s methods. His ideas. His actions. What he did. are centered on his heart. For what purpose is a man? The message said, “A man is his heart.”
“A man who lies and cheats is a heart that lies and cheats.” Love and mercy in the heart equate to a loving and merciful man. Living man means having a living heart. A man is dead when his heart is dead. whatever a man’s title may be. A man cannot be great, regardless of his position, riches, or status, if his heart is not great. However, a guy with a great heart stays great no matter what, rich or poor, big or small, because a person’s heart determines their size.”
The letter was placed a few days before Christmas, although it’s unclear exactly what it said. In October 2022, Brady and his model ex-wife filed for divorce.
In June of last year, Brady talked about some of the challenges he’s faced as Bündchen’s co-parent and the importance of providing his children with a “real solid base and foundation.”
“And I think myself and their mom have done an amazing job of providing that, and I think that we’re just gonna keep doing it,” he stated to Entertainment Tonight.
“We’re never a completed work. “The children are not final goods,” Brady continued. “In the end, we’re both learning alongside them. All you can do is make the most of the possibilities and challenges you have; after all, we are all faced with different obstacles in life.”
Failure and “adversities” are what define us, according to the former quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots.
“Everyone will fail. When asked what advice he would give his children, Brady said, “We’re all going to have challenges in life, and I think you’re defined a lot by your challenges because those are the things that ultimately challenge you to grow.”
“It’s true that life has its ups and downs, both professionally and personally. You just need to keep understanding these things on an intellectual and emotional level and work to avoid repeating your mistakes going forward. And just make an effort to keep improving yourself via all of your various deeds.”
