Tom Brady has backed struggling Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes as his club struggles in the 2023/24 season.
The Missouri team has lost four of six games since their Week 10 bye and struggles to develop plays for Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice.
Despite leading the AFC West, they’re not winning the Conference, which raises worries about their ability to figҺt and defend their Suρer Bowl championship.
Brady, considered the finest quarterback ever, praised Mahomes.
“You could see the fire and Patrick Mahomes yesterday,” Brady told reporters. “I like Patrick’s approach.
Let me assure you he’s a player. I doubt he believes anybody can stop him. I support the Chiefs’ approach. I’ll never bet against Patrick since he’s a great player and leader.”
Mahomes perceives urgency
Their season record is 9-6 after losing to the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Denver Broncos.
As they go into the playoffs with an offense struggling for productivity and Mahomes understanding the time constraint, their most recent defeat to the lowly Las Vegas Raiders has left them perplexed and apprehensive about how to turn their form around.
“All you can do is move onto the next game and day,” Mahomes told Charles Goldman. “I still think we can accomplish what we want.
“If we don’t (clean it up), we’ll be going home (in the playoffs).”
