Nas Upgrades to $3.5 Million Calabasas Mansion, Achieves Grammy Success
Renowned hip-hop artist Nasir “Nas” Jones has rebounded from the loss of his Georgia house in 2012 to a public foreclosure, marking a significant improvement in his fortunes.
The legendary rapper has recently made a lavish move into a $3.5 million mansion in the semi-rural outskirts of Calabasas. This Mediterranean-meets-Southwestern home, initially listed for $2.5 million, boasts four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, soaring ceilings, arched doorways, and limestone floors, all set on a sprawling 10+ acre property.
Nas’ new residence, tucked behind a long driveway and secured by gates and cameras, offers picturesque mountain views. The multilevel home features a double-height foyer, a motorcourt with an eight-car garage, and a main floor with a fireplace living area, gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, billiards room, and more.
The luxurious master retreat includes a private balcony, dual walk-in closets, a gym, and a spa-like bath. The backyard is an entertainer’s dream, featuring an outdoor dining terrace, built-in BBQ, and a grotto-style pool with a Jacuzzi, waterfall, and water slide. A rooftop balcony with endless views completes the opulent setting.
Nas’ recent successes extend beyond his real estate ventures. After 14 Grammy nominations, he secured his first Grammy win for the rap album ‘King’s Disease.’ Nas, recognized as MTV’s ‘Greatest MC of All Time,’ has sold over 25 million records, earned eight platinum albums, and established himself as a record producer, entrepreneur, and actor with an estimated net worth of around $70 million.
Alex Duk of Harcourts Beverly Hills represented Nas in the real estate transaction, while Angela Waters of Harcourts Prime Properties listed the property.”
