Long ago, Rick Ross made the switch from popular rapper to business mogul. He is more than happy to bring those who aren’t aware of it up to speed with his frequent posts and flexing on social media, where he immerses fans in the lifestyle of the Rich Boss, complete with opulent items like custom cars, diamond jewelry, and designer clothing arranged more artfully than in a boutique.
Aside from the irony, Rick Ross’s extravagant car is the only thing that stands out more than his purported dedication to setting an encouraging example. There are approximately 100 objects overall, ranging from the newest customized cars to rare antiques, either restored to a particular theme or kept in original shape, along with motorbikes and bicycles kept in storage around the United States. At his Florida house, Ross has been hosting an annual automobile meet in recent years that has grown into an extravagant event that combines the best parts of an auto show with a huge party and lavish rewards for other car aficionados.
Other than a private jet, Ross had nothing until late last week. He now does, and he ensured that his millions of fans and supporters heard it straight from him. Many mistakenly believed he had spent $5 billion for the bespoke plane when he shared footage and pictures of it on the runway and called it “a $5 billion play.”
He could not have done so even if he had this type of money, which he does not. The aircraft is a 2012 Gulfstream G 550, specially painted by Duncan Aviation, and equipped with twin Rolls-Royce engines. The term “$5 billion play” describes Ross’s plan of action to guarantee his status as a potential billionaire. He adds that he chose a new coat of paint rather than having a cover on his aircraft like other celebrities did since he didn’t want to bother with the lettering coming off.
The rear bumper of the G 550 now has the Maybach Music Group insignia in addition to rose gold writing that reads “RICK RO$$” on a black backdrop. According to the registration number N676AS, the rapper bought the car for Maybach AIR LLC in April of this year, so it’s possible that he was waiting for the customisation to be finished before the big unveiling.
“The sky is the limit… Maybach Airlines Ross asked his fans to accompany him on his next global adventures when he posted on Instagram Stories, announcing that he was “reaching new heights.” Not in the exact sense, we hope.
