On Friday, Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne landed in New York City.
The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actress arrived at JFK Airport looking stylish with her 15-year-old youngest child, Vivienne.
Angelina went with a minimalist black calf-length jacket, nude shoes, and a white maxi dress.
The stunning brunette finished off her sophisticated airport ensemble with sunglasses and tied back hair while carrying a large suitcase in one hand.
The stunning woman was seen shooting sequences for the biopic Maria in Katakolo, Greece, a few days before to her appearance with her kid.
In the biopic Maria, based on the legendary opera soprano Maria Callas, Angelina portrays Maria.
She was seen shooting sequences with Aristotle Onassis co-star Haluk Bilginer.
The film team accompanied the two as they headed to Christina O, Aristotle’s renowned boat.
Jackie Kennedy, who had previously wed President John F. Kennedy until his murder in 1963, was Aristotle’s wife.
Shipbroker Aristotle was a multibillionaire.
As of 2022, the Christina O is the 59th biggest yacht in the world and is available for rental.
Maria Callas, an opera singer who was born in New York City to Greek immigrants, is the main character of the movie Maria.
Her romantic history was tumultuous, included a liaison with Aristotle.
While still married to her husband Giovanni Battista Meneghini, she met Aristotle in 1957.
Two years later, the singer and the shipping mogul separated due to an affair.
He left her for Jackie Kennedy in 1966, but rumors have it that they continued to meet and had an affair in Paris.
September 16, 1977, Maria passed away in Paris at the age of 53.
It was disclosed in August that she was motivated by Vivienne to accept the main producer position in the Broadway production of The Outsiders.
According to People, Vivienne will also help her mother charity work.
She told the publication in a statement, “Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention in order to be a support to others.”
She said, “She’s very serious and thoughtful about theater and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
With her ex-husband Brad Pitt, Angelina is the mother of six children: Maddox, 22, Zahara, 18, Pax, 19, Shiloh, 17, and the twins, Vivienne and Knox, 15.
The 1983 Francis Ford Coppola film and the S.E. Hinton book served as the inspiration for the Outsiders musical.
Tom Cruise, Diane Lane, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez, C. Thomas Howell, and Ralph Macchio were among the who’s who of young Hollywood at the time who featured in that movie.
Earlier this year, La Jolla Playhouse hosted the world premiere of The Outsiders.
Dates and the Broadway cast are yet unknown.
As for this incredible team, with whom I have been working since my daughter took me to watch the performance at La Jolla Playhouse, Jolie said in a statement, “I hope to be able to contribute while continuing to learn.”
“I am so thrilled that this musical is making its Broadway debut! I can’t wait to share this new The Outsiders adaptation with everyone.”
The Outsiders is a movie summary that goes like this: “The Greasers are a rival teen gang in rural Oklahoma that are constantly at odds with the Socials.”
The guys are compelled to go into hiding when a fight between Greasers Ponyboy (C. Thomas Howell) and Johnny (Ralph Macchio) results in the death of a Social member.
Ponyboy, Johnny, the ferocious Dallas (Matt Dillon), and the other Greaser friends will soon have to deal with the fallout from their violent upbringing. Some Greasers attempt at repentance, while others suffer terrible fates.
