On Saturday, Angelina Jolie went grocery shopping with her daughter Zahara, dressed stylishly as usual.
The 46-year-old actress enhanced her height with matching slip-on shoes and a camel-colored coat with a fitted waist.
She wore a black disposable face mask in compliance with Covid-19 regulations, while her 16-year-old daughter wore a white one.
Zahara assisted her mother in restocking on necessities while sporting a chic red outfit and white sneakers.
The appearance coincides with Angelia’s recent trip to Washington, D.C., where she met with gymnasts who were testifying in an FBI hearing over Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse scandal and advocated for the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.
The actress met with victims of Larry Nassar and an officer who protected the Capitol from rioters on January 6, and the trip has been widely reported in the US media.
She shared a picture of herself alongside Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, Maggie Nichols, Jessica Howard, and other gymnasts who were victims of Nassar’s sexual assault at a Senate hearing.
In the caption accompanying the image, Angelina said, “I was honored to meet with some of the brave US gymnasts who appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday.” Their bravery and dedication to averting further neglect of abuse investigations astound me.
In her statement, Aly Raisman said, “More than a hundred victims might have been spared the abuse.” One adult was all we needed to act morally.” In order for system improvements to take place, we are sending them and everyone else who is experiencing this horror our love and respect.
This week, I met with senators on Capitol Hill to discuss the extension of the Violence Against Women Act and FBI reforms, which include improved safeguards for children who have been abused, unbiased forensic evidence gathering, trauma treatment, and judicial training.
