Although he’s the largest boss, Rick Ross isn’t the tallest.
The 47-year-old founder of Maybach Music Group gained notoriety in October after giving Shaquille O’Neal a necklace with his label’s nаme. And now he’s going into detail about how a necklace for a guy who is seven feet one inch tall was customized.
“First and first, you must ensure that the emeralds are perfect, and then the item must match… His garment will seem much smaller on him than it would if I wore it since he is seven feet tall, Ross tells PEOPLE.
“Let’s quadruple up on it, I urged them. There is no budget. This is for Shaq Diesel, Shaq Fu, the big mate. Do you understand what I meаn?
As to Ross’s explanation, he chose a larger pendant and ensured that “the Cuban link was a lot thicker.”
He remarks, “But man, it was well worth it.” And that was pleasant. Do you understand what I meаn? I’m also happy that the buddy liked it. Over the following several days, he continued to contact me.”
Although O’Neal, 51, and Ross discuss “a lot of different things” via text, such as franchising and some of their other powerful strategies, they have lately become closer because of their similar vocal skills.
Together with O’Neal and fellow NBA player Damian Lillard, Ross and Meek Mill released a remix of the song “Shaq & Kobe” as part of their Too Good to Be True album in November. The partnership takes place thirty years after Shaq’s 1993 first album, Shaq Diesel, was originally purchased by Ross. His first reaction was, “This is a real artist.”
“And the more familiar I got with him, you saw him collaborating with New York MCs and it just went on and on,” he continues.
I thus value his contribution. the meаnt a lot, man—him coming over to our place, him appreciating my skill, and me placing the Maybach Music piece around his neck. Do you understand what I meаn? Rozay took great pride in it.
