Selena Gomez abruptly deleted her Instagram account to spend the evening out with her close friend Taylor Swift, the night after she gave her six-month relationship with music producer Benny Blanco a rocky start.
Despite the chilly winter weather, Gomez and Swift both wore adorable miniskirts as they were seen in New York City on December 8. Gomez is seen wearing designer Rejina Pyo’s snake-print trench coat ($1,376) and matching miniskirt ($345) in pictures posted online by fans and Erin Walsh, Gomez’s stylist. She accessorized the ensemble with a black turtleneck, Calzedonia tights, and Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots. Gomez wore a short red manicure and a classic smokey eye, leaving her honey-blonde highlighted hair down in loose waves.

Swift wore a green sweater and one of her favorite pleated plaid miniskirts, which she layered beneath a suede jacket with a shearling lining, while Gomez wore a highly Reputation-coded ensemble. In response to apprehensive fans, Gomez declared in the @popfactions Instagram account’s comments section on December 7 that she was seeing Blanco, calling him “better than anyone I’ve been with” and calling him “the best thing that’s ever happened.”
Swift recently disclosed to Time magazine that she began dating Travis Kelce, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs, soon after he mentioned going to the Eras Tour in late July on his New Heights podcast.
