Angelina Jolie recently got a tattoo on her middle finger, which has sparked wild speculation on social media.
The “Eternals” actress reportedly had over a dozen tattoos prior to getting her latest design, so she is certainly no stranger to the practice. Due to the fact that she and Brad Pitt are going through a contentious divorce, some fans speculated that this new addition was a reference to Pitt. However, the tattoo artist later attempted to dispel that rumor.
As Jolie’s new tattoo was obscured in an Instagram post published on Tuesday, Mr. K, a well-known tattoo artist at Bang Bang Tattoo in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, wrote, “I’m still can’t believe I actually grabbed her hand and tattooed her.” “What does she have on her palm?”
“There is absolutely no connection to Brad Pitt,” Mr. K later remarked.
Before that, the artist of South Korean descent adorned the likes of Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, Matt Damon, and Michael J. Fox with his “micro style and single needle” creations.
Meanwhile, the identity of Jolie’s new ink remains unknown, generating as much confusion as speculation.
Certain users were perplexed by the distorted image, mistaking the tattoos for pixelated rectangles; one user praised Mr. K for creating Jolie’s ink that appeared to have been Photoshopped. Someone else correctly hypothesized that the image was blurred on purpose.
In the end, Mr. K provided reassurance to his audience by stating, “It was Photoshopped for the cover” and teasing that the “actual tattoo photo will be posted very soon.”
Nonetheless, some supporters associated the tattoo with Pitt. After a public separation from her co-star actor in 2016, Jolie became legally single in 2019. However, their divorce has not yet been finalized due to an ongoing dispute concerning their winery and child custody. Pitt was recently criticized by Jolie for behaving like a “petulant child.”
One commenter on Mr. K’s post stated, “It seems that she is the type of person who would want the numbers ‘Practice Kindness’ or ‘Breathe In/Breathe Out’ or something similar on her middle fingers.”
Additional commenters hypothesized that the actor’s recent tattoos might be associated with Atelier Jolie, a fashion house she inaugurated in New York City. Reportedly, Jolie has been in town for the majority of the summer, and some have speculated that she may have tattooed the logo’s letters on her fingers.
