Angelina Jolie’s two daughters, Shiloh and Zahara, followed in their beautiful and famous mother’s philanthropic footsteps by enthusiastically supporting a poor, large family in Cambodia.
Shiloh and Zahara live comfortably in a luxurious apartment but both still do not hesitate to interact and play with the poorest children in Cambodia. This is where the entire family of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are living to make the movie “First They Killed My Father”.
Leida Shoun, 16 years old, has 12 siblings, met Shiloh and Zahara when they both stopped by Brad Pitt to buy ice cream in the town of Siem Reap. After the meeting, everyone played together and when they learned about Leida Shoun’s family situation, Angelina Jolie’s two children planned to support them. The two bought a lot of new clothes totaling 200 USD, and two new bicycles for Leida Shoun’s family.
“We only have one bicycle for the whole family but it is very old. Therefore, we are extremely happy with this gift. Shiloh and Zahara and their families are very nice people. We knew them by chance, we played together and they did not hesitate to support us when they knew our situation. I like when everyone plays soccer together” – Leida Shoun shared.
Leida Shoun’s family lives in small shacks in the “slum” area of Siem Reap, a difficult life. Leida’s father cannot work because of old age and illness. The aid money received only paid for rice, food, and clothes.
As a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina Jolie regularly makes trips to refugee camps in war zones such as Syria, Iraq… On her most recent trip, she visited refugee camps for refugees. Syria in Southeast Turkey, Angelina Jolie took her daughter Shiloh with her and confided that she liked it very much. “Shiloh is aware that I hold a responsibility related to improving the quality of life for refugee families. She wished to accompany me many years ago. He had heard about Hala on my previous trip and wanted to meet her. It’s fun when they meet, make friends and play with each other. Many refugee children confide that their great pain is not because of losing their homes but because of losing close friends” – Angelina Jolie told People.
