Reportedly, Brad Pitt’s protracted divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie are impacting his romance with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. Despite being officially single since 2019, disagreements over assets such as Chateau Miraval have extended the separation.
Sources indicate that Pitt is eager to progress his relationship with de Ramon but feels constrained by the ongoing legal disputes. Nonetheless, recent legal victories and de Ramon’s completion of divorce proceedings with “The Vampire Diaries” actor, Paul Wesley, have spurred Pitt to pursue finalizing his divorce from Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie, once the darlings of Hollywood, ended their relationship in 2016 and have since been embroiled in a bitter legal dispute.
Despite being legally single since 2019, they have postponed their divorce proceedings, particularly over their French estate, Chateau Miraval, leading to what’s been dubbed “the war of the rosés.”
An insider revealed that Pitt, who publicly introduced his relationship with de Ramon in November 2022, is eager to finalize the divorce and move on from his past.
“Brad really wants this to be finalized more than anything,” the source disclosed to the DailyMail. “If it were solely up to him, this would have been resolved long ago.”
“Brad is looking to forge ahead with Ines, but he can’t do so while still technically married to the mother of his children. It’s a challenging situation, but it could have been resolved years ago,” the insider added.
Amid the ongoing legal dispute surrounding Chateau Miraval, Jolie accused Pitt of “financially draining her” and labeled him as “controlling.”
However, a recent report by the DailyMail presents a different perspective. Pitt’s involvement in the winery business has substantially increased its value, with their former French residence now valued at an astounding $164 million, up from $60 million in 2008.
Despite Jolie’s sale of her 50 percent stake in the winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021 without Pitt’s consent, the actor has achieved legal victories, including regaining control of the vineyard.
Pitt also prevailed in the LA Superior Court against Jolie’s allegations that his lawsuit was “frivolous,” “malicious,” and “part of a problematic pattern.”
Despite the legal conflict with Jolie, the insider revealed that “Brad has a wonderful relationship with most of his children, who have met Ines. They are delighted that their father is happy, and Ines has warmly embraced the children.”
