Porsche Passion
A lot of people like old Porsches.YouTube and The Late Brake Show are to blame.
Most of Mike’s collection is made up of Porsches from some of the most popular decades for the brand.
One of only 2,099 of the 912 E models, a four-cylinder version of the famous 911, is shown. Another model is the 928.
He also has a 1982 Porsche SC that he fixed up himself.
He said: “I bought this car of an American Airlines pilot when I was living in California.”He didn’t care about his Porsche at all, and he sold it for a silly amount of money.
“I’ve done a lot of work to it.”
More recently, he bought a Porsche Taycan EV, which costs around £86,5000 right now.
The company that made the all-electric sports car says it can go as fast as 143 mph and has a range of up to 421 miles..
Ford Transit
White van guys in the UK love the Ford Transit.YouTube and The Late Brake Show are to blame.
Mike is proud to own a MkI Ford Transit van, which is related to internal cоmbustiоn engines.
It was first made in 1965. It is the original form of the model that has become an icon as the ride of choice for the discerning white van man. This particular 1974 model had only 10,000 miles on it when Mike picked it up. It had been used by the German fire service before it was changed to right-hand drive.
The host said that he had to “beg” the previous owner to let him sell it because he “genuinely fell in love with it.”.
Mini Cooper S
This is what Mike called his “favorite car of all time.”YouTube and The Late Brake Show are to blame.
In the 1960s, the Mini Cooper became a cult classic and became one of the most famous cars in British history.
That it played the lead in The Italian Job, a 1969 heist movie, helped a lot. It ferried Michael Caine and his friends around at the end of the movie.
Mike’s is one of the first ones made. The model was made from 1961 to 1971.
The star said this was his “favorite car of all time” and that it’s “just insanely good.”His Mini has been remade with a 2021 shell that fits the time period to make sure it lasts for many years.
And let’s hope it does, especially since Mini just showed off the last Cooper of its kind, which will only be available in electric form by 2030.,
Best of British: The history of the Mini Cooper
That friendship led to the creation of the Mini Cooper in 1961. Sir Alec Issigonis, who was the head designer for the British Motor Corporation, and John Cooper, who was the head of the Cooper Car Company.
Cooper, who also worked as a designer on F1 cars, thought that the original Mini, which came out in 1959, could be made better for racing.
The first versions of the car were sold under both the Austin and Morris names. They were both big hits, and over 80,000 Mk I versions were bought.
It was thought of as a symbol of 1960s Britain after Michael Caine and his group of gold thieves used them in The Italian Job (1969).
The first one stopped being made in 1971, but it was brought back in 1990 by the Rover Group after British Leyland went out of business.
Then, when Rover went out of business in 2000, BMW Group bought Mini as a separate brand. They still make the Cooper today.
After 2030, the tradition will live on in the form of an electric supermini with the famous Cooper brand.
MG MGA
The last person who owned this MG won it in a raffle.YouTube and The Late Brake Show are to blame.
When Mike has been a TV star for more than 20 years, you might think he can buy any car he wants at any time.
But sometimes you have to spend hours looking through car shows, sales, and auctions to find the real gems.
Mike bought this “beautiful” 1959 MG sportster around the time of the first season of the show.
He remembered looking around a workplace in California with the team as they looked for places to shoot and talking with the owner of the building.
It was said that the man said he won the car in a charity draw in 1974 and then put it in a garage for 20 years.
Mike and his wife Michelle went to his house that afternoon and got the motor for free right then and there.
In exchange, Mike gave a large amount of money to the kind petrolhead’s favorite charity instead of paying him..
Land Rover 110 Defender
The scratched up one was a “gift” from Mike’s friend. Land RoverYouTube and The Late Brake Show are to blame.
Mike got the Land Rover as a gift from a friend, and it was in a bit of bad shape.
They joked that the car had “cellulite” and that it looked like “an ostrich has been pecking it” because of all the dings and holes in the body.
“It’s kind of been given to me as a gift, which is lovely,” the host said.
What a pаin! I can’t sell it because it’s not mine, and I can’t really do anything with it.
“It’s really handy if I need to tow something or move something around… it’s a great vehicle.””
Absent friends
It’s sad that his Ford Fiesta was stolen in 2023.Thanks to Discovery
There is a huge hole in Mike’s collection because in June 2023, someone stole his favorite Ford Fiesta.
Before it was stolen, he and his Wheeler Dealers co-star Marc Priestley had it carefully fixed up for about £11,200.Mike has even promised to pay £5,000 to anyone who can find it and return it.
But in February 2024, he gave his fans a painful update on the case and gave more information about how the crime happened..
