Only a few days before to Justin Bieber, 30, and Hailey Bieber, 27, announcing their engagement, Selena Gomez restricted who could leave comments on her Instagram pictures to friends.
In light of the fact that she was famously linked to the Baby singer for eight years, fans were ready to draw conclusions.
However, it turns out that she has nothing to do with the founder of Rhode Beauty when it comes to blocking comments.
“I limited who could comment on my Instagram photos to just my friends.” In an appearance with The Today Show on May 2, she stated, “I believe I’ve set boundaries to help me.”
Evidently, it caused a stir. She said at the Rare Beauty 2024 Mental Health Summit, “They fuss about everything.”
The 31-year-old star of The Only Murders in the Building is the most followed female on the social media network.
I felt strong enough to say, “This is just for me,” after doing that.
Throughout the years, Selena has been transparent about her health and mental health issues. She was given a bipolar illness diagnosis in 2020.
I must admit that I gave it a lot of thinking. She said, “And I’ve been pulled in a lot of different directions to not or to be able to say it.”
However, once I made the decision, it was irreversible. I felt so proud,’ she continued.
She added that she knew she needed assistance before asking for it.
“My mind was not understanding itself.” I was not cognizant of my feelings and responses. And I believe that to have been the most agonizing period of my life,” she remarked.
Selena is merely expressing to the public her happiness with her life, her relationship with Benny Blanco, and her choice to forego the 2024 Met Gala.
Rumors about a purported “feud” between Selena and Hailey have been spread on the internet for years, setting them against one another.
When they amiably posed for pictures together at an event in Los Angeles in October 2022, they effectively put an end to the rumors. In one picture, they even shared an embrace.
However, the feud rumors resurfaced in February 2023 after Hailey posted a TikTok short that some people thought was her making fun of Selena.
‘I’m not saying she deserves it, but God’s timing is always right,’ the ladies lip-synced to, joined by close friends Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye.
