When Kevin Hart was announced as the winner of the Mark Twain Prize for American History, people were shocked and moved.
The JTMaji star remarked, “Right now, [I’м jŅst feeling] exciteмent and jŅst the feeling of being hυмbled at the fact that I wo\ld be in the association of those in chemotherapy,” on the red carpet of the star-studded event at the Kennedy Centre in Washingtоn, D.C.
“And, you know, I hope that in years to come, I’ll look back at this historic moment for me,” the speaker continued.
The Mark Twain Prize is regarded as the most prestigious honour in the comedy category.
Kevin was overcome with emotion when he accepted the trophy on stage.
You cannot succeed by self-sufficiency. You can’t fake that, I said, adding, “Seeing the people I’d show up for is really meaningful to me.”
“I fell in love with something I could do for the rest of my life,” he continued. I felt sorry for Comedy.
I became enamoured with something I could hold onto. Oh my God, I’m delighted with my choice, and all of my eggs are in this basket.
