Kevin Hart’s vegan company has closed all of its stores.
According to Eater Los Angeles, the actor’s, 45, restaurant Hart House, which opened in 2022, will close all four locations on September 10, 2024.
“The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, as well as their unwavering support of Hart House,” Hart House CEO Andy Hooper said in a statement to the source.
According to Eater Los Angeles, the food chain’s sites included Westchester, Monrovia, University Park, and the flagship Hart House at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
The food company announced its closure earlier this week on Instagram, where it posted a photo of piled burgers with the caption “Thank You” on top.
“Thank you. 💚To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved,” the post’s caption stated. “A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.”
Hart’s plant-based restaurant first launched on August 25, with the goal of providing cheap meals made from high-quality ingredients.
They guaranteed that the food will be free of preservatives, artificial colors, hormones, antibiotics, high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats, and cholesterol.
“As someone who has been preaching ‘Health is Wealth’, building Hart House felt like the natural evolution of my flexitarian lifestyle and my business ecosystem,” Hart said in a statement after the restaurant opened.
He continued: “I’m beyond proud of this industry-changing restaurant and the amazing team behind it working tirelessly to create delicious, sustainable food that delivers ‘Can’t-Believe-It’ flavor in every bite.”
