It’s a milestone that many fathers know all too well.
On Monday, Kevin Hart shared a selfie on social media while sitting in the front passenger seat of a car driven by his 16-year-old daughter Heaven.
“My little girl is growing up,” the actor wrote in the post, expressing both happiness and nostalgia.
Kevin Hart bought a Mercedes SUV for his daughter’s birthday.
Heaven is Hart’s eldest child. He shares her and her 13-year-old brother, Hendrix, with his ex-wife Torrei Hart, whom he divorced in 2011. The 41-year-old “Ride Along” star has two younger children with his second wife, Eniko, whom he married in 2016. His son Kenzo is three years old and his daughter Kaori is 18 months old.
Hart finally acknowledged to cheating on Eniko when she was pregnant in December 2017. The issue was handled throughout the marriage, but Hart admitted in a recent interview that it was difficult to tell his two older children about his affair.
Hart said on a Father’s Day episode of Red Table Talk with Will Smith, “You don’t realise the impact that your mistakes can truly have.” When the kids become involved, it’s a totally other sensation and emotion.”
He went on to say that his most difficult conversation was with Heaven, stating, “Getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I had made a mistake, that was correct. My daughter has been and continues to be tough on me.””She doesn’t play games with her father.”
