The actor, entrepreneur, and professional wrestler purchased a $3.48 million home in Encino, California, for his mother, Ata, who has played an important role in his life. Johnson, who has an estimated net worth of $270 million, had already purchased two mansions in Florida, but he highlighted that this one is very precious to him.
In an Instagram post, he wrote, “It broke my heart as a child to see my mother cry.” Now I welcome her tears of gladness. He said that he surprised her with a new property, which he and his design team changed in eight weeks, leaving everything brand new for her first visit.
According to records obtained by The Post, Johnson purchased the Cape Cod-style home, which has six bedrooms and four and a half baths, in September, though his mother has only recently moved in. This gated property spans over 4,400 square feet and features luxurious amenities such as a spacious great room with French doors, a chef’s kitchen with navy cabinets, a handmade tile backsplash, and Carrera marble countertops, and a living room with a fireplace and white vaulted ceiling. The kitchen also has a lovely breakfast nook.

The main suite features a spa-like bathroom with two basins and a standalone tub, as well as direct access to the outdoor area.
The nicely manicured backyard, surrounded by hedges, features a huge lawn with numerous lounging places, a built-in BBQ, citrus trees, a game area, and a pool and spa, transforming it into a “bona fide Los Angeles sanctuary.” Johnson posted three videos of Ata’s reaction as she explored her new home for the first time.

One video shows her approaching the house to the popular song “Over the Rainbow” by the late Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. A sign reading “Le Samoana” sits above the entryway, a tribute to her Samoan origin.
Johnson took viewers on a tour of the inside in two further movies, emphasizing important decor details. He dubbed one space the “Smackdown Room,” which contained artifacts from his wrestling and DJ days. In another section, he displayed her vintage ukulele collection and mentioned that he had discovered images of their relatives that she hadn’t seen since her infancy in Samoa.
